Creating reintegration solutions for our military service members, families and communities.

ONE Freedom is proud to announce its partnership with Applebox Theatre Company. Applebox strives to produce compelling theatre that explores the many facets of the human condition and promotes social engagement through partnerships, so as to transform those who participate.
After the success of Applebox’s inaugural production of Sam Shepard’s Buried Child, the company is returning for a second season with Ron Cowen’s Summertree, winner of Off-Broadway’s Drama Desk Award and Pulitzer Prize nominee. Concerned with the issues and fears of a family in an uncertain time of war, this honest & essential play is both a celebration of key moments in life and a strong consideration of warfare and its resulting tragedy. Journey with the Young Man as he slips between moments of innocent childhood, conflicted adolescence, and mournful maturity. This is a story that will cause us to question our origins, our destinations, and, most importantly, our present realities & values.
In addition to holding a benefit event for ONE Freedom, Applebox will donate a portion of performance proceeds to ONE Freedom's educational program "Strength after Service". Applebox's production of Summertree will be performed in the UCD Arts Building Blackbox Theatre on the following dates:
