Reconnect Founder, Mikal Vega

Mikal A. Vega is a US Navy Seal who has served in the military for 22 years conducting special operations. He is being medically discharged from an active duty career due to injuries sustained during his service on the front lines in OIF. Drawing upon experiences gained during his recovery, he has developed the concept of project RECONNECT and a system for decompression that can help veterans and families recover from wartime trauma.

Mikal’s current key focus is on development and exposure of RECONNECT’s unique mission by developing donor relationships that take the initial vision from conception to reality. Mikal has also been working in the film industry this past year on major motion hits such as Transformers and GI Joe.
