Creating reintegration solutions for our military service members, families and communities.

Trainer Positions

ONE Freedom offers programs for service members, veterans, their families and the care providers who support them. We need trainers for each of these unique populations. Some trainers work with multiple audiences and some specialize.

Our train-the-trainer program offers an intensive education on the ONE Freedom training model and how to deliver it to specific audiences. If an applicant has the requisite background and experience, we provide in-depth training on how to teach the neurophysiology of stress and resilience, and how to practice skills and make life changes that support balanced living.

The most important thing, however, that a trainer brings to this work is his or her personal life experience and the wisdom gained through fully engaging in their own growth, learning and empowerment.

Desired Skills / Experience

  • Veterans interested in work with ONE Freedom need to have deployment experience; preferably in a combat theater. Any military occupational specialty or rank (officer or enlisted) is acceptable. Key attributes are curiosity, an appetite for learning, integrity, and authenticity. No previous experience as a presenter is required but trainers must have a high degree of comfort speaking and facilitating with both large and small audiences.
  • Military family members and Family Readiness Group coordinators are needed to present to these audiences and to authentically represent the family experience. They must have had a family member who went through at least one full deployment cycle. Key attributes are the same as for veteran trainers: curiosity, a desire to learn, and what we'll call a genuine presence. Experience working with or facilitating groups is helpful.
  • Care provider applicants need to be credentialed providers of therapeutic support services who have clinical experience, preferably with military populations. Most modalities are acceptable but body-centered and mind-body frameworks provide easier access points to the ONE Freedom framework. Key attributes are curiosity and a strong desire to support military personnel and their families. Most important is the willingness to embrace a normalizing, non-pathologizing approach to patterns of stress response and resolution.
