March 29, 2007 -- ONE Freedom, Inc., a Colorado-based nonprofit organization, is offering free two-hour "Strength After Service" reintegration workshops for veterans and their family members, ages 18 and over, in Fort Collins and Longmont.
Taught by Marine and OIF Veteran Dan Taslitz, the sessions offer a new approach to issues of reentry into home, community and work. The "Strength after Service" training provides OIF and OEF veterans and families with information about the effects of stress on the brain and body, and resulting symptoms like gastrointestinal difficulties, chronic pain, irritability, anger or depression. Participants will also learn skills to manage and reduce their own symptoms.
Dates/Times: April 2 and April 9; 7 - 9 p.m.
Location: The Plummer School Event Center, 2524 E. Vine Drive, Fort Collins, CO
